Gear & spike earrings

To teach myself patience I made the gear earring collection. There are five various pairs available and you better get them while you can because I don't think I will be making more gears anytime soon.  After melting the wire into balls (that all have to be the exact same size) I solder them all onto thicker wire (while they try to roll away), then bend, mill, oxidize and satin finish.  It is a labor of love and sometimes frustration! This pair I added my trademark spikes to the top

hanging length from bottom of the ear wire is 1 1/2 inches and the diameter of the gear is approximately gear  1 1/4 inch
